AKA “newbie and been on hiatus”

This is a great way to be part of our day, particularly for our newer riders. The ride is part of the 60km and 140km ride routes, and with the pace being gentle you will be able to test your legs out on 1 small climb on the return leg of the ride, and then return to the festivities for the day at Airport Toyota. We have already ridden the course and it’s a great ride.

AKA “gimme a challenge!”

Starting at Essendon Fields, the 60km course heads towards the Macedon Ranges as per the 140km route. When you reach Wildwood the course turns left and loops back, but not before there is a final challenging climb to overcome. The route has a climbing altitude of 550m for the whole course.

AKA “cycling is like breathing”

The 140Km course takes in some fantastic, quiet roads, rarely ridden but well worth the effort. North out of Essendon fields quickly turns to farmland and some windy roads bring up to the back of Mount Macedon. Climb for a little under 4.5Km before enjoying a fast and straight descent for 6km down the other side. The hidden gorges around Wildwood will surprise and challenge you just before you get views of the city skyline. The loop is a great challenge and definitely “Not Beach Road”!.
